Zachos Varfis is an Athens based architect focusing on combining DIY with craftsmanship and digital fabrication.

He enjoys working with existing/derelict spaces and buildings and local craftsmen and suppliers, building relationships and skills from project to project.

He is the founder and designer of Latraac, a social skateboard project built inside a 19th century courtyard space in Kerameikos, Athens. The Latraac garden and cafe/shed were developed using low cost materials and DIY, while the Latraac bowl was built entirely using digital fabrication and CNC routed plywood sections.

Latraac was shortlisted for the Architecture Category in the Designs of The Year 2019 shown at the London Design Museum.
